Privacy information

This notice explains how personal data are processed when you visit the website, ask to receive a resource link by email or submit a professional enquiry.

1. Controller

No data protection officer has been appointed because the website's current processing activities do not require one.

2. Data processed, purposes and legal bases

Website access and security

The hosting and security infrastructure may process an IP address, the time and URL of a request, browser and device information, security events, and similar technical log data. These data are processed to deliver the website, maintain its availability, diagnose faults and prevent abuse. The legal basis is the controller’s legitimate interest in operating a secure and reliable website under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Optional email delivery of resources

The resource request form collects an email address and the selected resource. These data are necessary to send the resource you request. The legal basis is taking steps at your request and providing the requested service under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR; where that provision does not apply, the legal basis is the controller’s legitimate interest in responding to an explicit request under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Professional enquiries

The professional enquiry form collects an email address, the selected area of interest, the message and, if provided, a name. These data are processed to answer the enquiry, assess whether the requested support can be provided and continue the related correspondence. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where the enquiry concerns steps that may lead to a contract; in other cases, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, reflecting the controller’s legitimate interest in professional communication and responding to enquiries.

The site does not create a newsletter or marketing subscription. It does not conduct automated decision-making or profiling.

3. Required and optional information

The resource form requires an email address and the selection of a resource. The enquiry form requires an email address, an area of interest and a message of at least 10 characters; providing a name is optional. Without the required information, the requested resource or response cannot be provided.

4. Processors and recipients

• Cloudflare, Inc. provides hosting, content delivery and security services and may process technical request data and security data. Cloudflare privacy information.
• Resend, Inc. provides transactional email delivery and processes recipient and reply-to addresses, email content and delivery metadata. Resend privacy policy.
• Google Workspace is used for the controller's business mailbox and processes professional enquiry messages received there. Google Workspace data processing terms.

Personal data are not sold. YouTube may receive data only when you choose to open an external YouTube link; no embedded player is loaded during the initial page visit.

5. International transfers

The service providers and their subprocessors may process data in the European Economic Area and in third countries, including the United States. Where required, transfers rely on an applicable adequacy decision, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and supplementary safeguards described in the providers' data-processing terms.

6. Retention

• Resource-delivery email data are not stored in a separate site database. Transactional email records are retained by the delivery provider for up to 30 days.
• Professional enquiries and related correspondence are retained for up to 12 months after the last meaningful contact, unless a longer period is required for an ongoing service, compliance with a legal obligation, or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
• Technical and security logs are retained in accordance with the relevant provider’s configured or documented retention period and only for as long as necessary for security and operation.

7. Your rights

Subject to the conditions set out in the GDPR, you may request access to your personal data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. You may also object to processing based on legitimate interests. To exercise any of these rights, email erdeirobert@erdeirobert.org. A response will normally be provided within one month. Additional information may be requested where reasonably necessary to verify your identity.

8. Children and sensitive information

The forms are intended for adults. Do not submit a child's name, diagnosis, health data, case record or confidential institutional information. If such data are received unintentionally, they will be deleted as soon as reasonably possible unless their retention is required by law.

9. Cookies and external content

The site does not currently use advertising cookies, optional analytics or embedded video players. Cloudflare may use strictly necessary security and network mechanisms. Because no optional cookie or similar tracking technology is currently used, the site does not display a consent banner. This position must be reviewed before analytics, advertising or embedded third-party content is added.

10. Changes

This notice will be updated if the purposes, forms, providers or legal requirements change. The effective date shown above identifies the current version.
